Born from the land reclamation following the creation of dikes by Dutch engineers, L'Aiguillon-sur-Mer extends across the mouth of Lay, making this channel and picturesque old harbor the point of activity main town. Inshore or at sea, cultivation of oysters or mussels (called Bouchots, which are a local specialty), the supply of seafood is diverse and will ensure the greediest incomparable freshness of products.
